Fundraising Honor Roll

Thank you for visiting my page and for your support. My name is Chase Johnson and I am from the Beta Alpha chapter of Pi Kappa Phi. This chapter is located in Newark, New Jersey at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). I am a senior at NJIT with a major in Civil Engineering and a minor in Environmental Engineering. I am due to graduate in December with my bachelors degree.

I joined Pi Kappa Phi in the Spring of 2012 over other fraternities due to their involvement in Push America. I always had an interested in Push America and wanted to help out as much as I could with it and for this reason I became interested in Journey of Hope.

Journey of Hope is a 4,000 mile bike-a-thon starting in one of three places, Seattle, San Francisco or Los Angeles, and finishing in Washington, DC after two months. It has been a tradition since 1977 where brothers bike across America in two months with an average of 75 miles a day. This journey happens every year during the summer and consists of 100 Pi Kappa Phi brothers from around the nation. These brothers all pool together to help raise money for people with disabilities and for disability awareness. The Journey of Hope 2014 fundraising goal is $650,000. All of this money is donated to Push America and used in their efforts to help people with disabilities.

So, please help me achieve my goal of fundraising $5,500 towards Push America so I can contribute it to Journey of Hope. Being apart of Journey of Hope is one of my goals in life because it represents something bigger then me and it is something I will remember for the rest of my life.
