Why participate? The Marine Corps Marathon weekend is full of camaraderie and enthusiasm as nearly 75 Push America Challenge team members tackle one of the most breathtaking running events in the United States. Traversing through the monuments of Washington DC is breathtaking and each and every runner has a story for why they run. The Push America Challenge team runs to share the message of friendship and understanding for people with disabilities.
Who does it support? For the 4th consecutive year, Push America will be partnering with the Wounded Warrior Project. This fascinating organization creates opportunities for the men and women that have fought so bravely for our country and are now living with a disability due to their service. Programs include, adaptive recreation, vocational training, educational advancement and overall a sense of belonging in society with their new circumstances. Push America is proud to offer 10% of all funds raised from the Push America Challenge: Marine Corps Marathon team in a grant to support the programs of the Wounded Warrior Project.
What benefits do I receive as a team member?
All Marine Corps Marathon and 10k participants are guaranteed automatic entry into the sold out race as well as training support, fundraising support, training and race day sportswear, weekend events including a pre-race dinner and much much more. The benefits of participating are endless but the overall feeling of competing in an individual event for more than just yourself is the icing on the cake and will make crossing that finish line that much more unforgettable.
What are the registration fee and fundraising requirements?
Each Marine Corps Marathon and 10k participant is required
to fundraise as a commitment to the team. Push America structures fundraising
resources in a way that enables each and every participant to exceed their goal
while receiving additional fundraising incentives such as free lodging in DC
during race weekend, registration fee reimbursement, travel reimbursement and
even a round trip airline ticket to anywhere in the continental U.S. The
amounts for each event are as follows:
